Sonal Dinusha and Pasindu Sooriyabandara keep Sri Lanka afloat on day three

Sonal Dinusha remained unbeaten on 85 and Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 80 as Sri Lanka reached 265 for eight on day three of the second Test in Colombo. India declared at 503 for nine after Dhruv Jurel's century.

Prasidh Krishna and Manav Suthar each took three wickets while Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja claimed one apiece. Sri Lanka still trail by 238 runs and need 39 more runs to avoid the follow-on with two wickets in hand.

Rain ended play early. India remain open to enforcing the follow-on if they can finish the innings quickly on day four.
