Sonal Dinusha hundred secures draw as Sri Lanka deny India series sweep

Sonal Dinusha remained unbeaten on 133 as Sri Lanka reached 429 for nine on the final day to draw the second Test against India in Colombo. The draw prevented India from completing a 2-0 series victory after they had won the first Test in Galle by 165 runs.

India had taken a 213-run first-innings lead and enforced the follow-on, but Sri Lanka's lower order resisted throughout the final day. Dinusha scored four fifty-plus scores across the series, and BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla compared his batting to Sachin Tendulkar.

Sri Lanka began the final day with a 16-run lead and six wickets in hand after reaching 229 for six on day four. The hosts' rearguard action secured the draw and kept the series score at 1-0 to India.
