Sophie Dunkley returns to Melbourne Renegades for WBBL|12

Sophie Dunkley will rejoin Melbourne Renegades for Weber WBBL|12 after a season away. She played for the club in 2024-25, then headed overseas, and now she's back in the magenta jersey. Tahlia McGrath, meanwhile, is staying put with Adelaide Strikers.

The squad announcements came once the contract embargo lifted and clubs rushed to lock in their final overseas spots before November. Renegades kept most of their core from last year and topped up with Dunkley, who's already familiar with the group and the conditions.

The league runs eight teams through 59 matches, ending with the final in late January. Renegades open against Sydney Thunder in the first week.
