Sourav Ganguly says Pretoria Capitals will target specific needs at SA20 auction

Pretoria Capitals head coach Sourav Ganguly said the franchise will go into the SA20 Season 5 auction knowing exactly what they need after retaining a strong core. The squad includes Phil Salt, Dewald Brevis, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Andre Russell and Sherfane Rutherford.

Dewald Brevis was signed for R16.5 million, making him the most expensive buy in SA20 history, while Keshav Maharaj, who captains the side, was picked up for R1.7 million. Pretoria Capitals held the largest purse at R32.5 million after retaining three overseas players.

Ganguly said the retained players delivered in the previous season when the franchise reached the final. Five spots remain to be filled, and the team will target specific areas of need to complete the squad.
