Star Sports and FanCode secure India rights for India-Japan T20I

Star Sports and FanCode have acquired the television and digital rights in India for the one-off T20I between India and Japan scheduled for September 22. The match marks Japan's first T20I against India.

Netflix is reported to be in negotiations to purchase the global streaming rights for the fixture. The high level of interest reflects growing international attention around the expanding Japan cricket programme.

The same Japan squad will represent the country at the 2026 Asian Games later this year, making the India match a key preparation fixture for both events.
