Shreyas Iyer to replace Suryakumar Yadav as India T20I captain

Shreyas Iyer is set to take over as India's T20I captain from Suryakumar Yadav. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also in line for a debut in the side.

Selectors discussed the changes ahead of a June 6 meeting. The moves form part of planning for future cycles including the 2028 Olympics.

Suryakumar Yadav had captained India in T20Is. The shift follows reports on BCCI contingency plans around leadership and selection.
