'the management is practicing a kind of dictatorship'
Manish Ojha, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's childhood coach, accused the Indian team management of practicing dictatorship by keeping the 15-year-old on the bench.
Manish Ojha, childhood coach of 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, criticised the Indian team management's handling of the teenage batter during the ongoing T20I series against West Indies. Speaking to Sports Now, Ojha accused the management of keeping promising players on the bench as a development method.
Ojha said the current approach of frustrating young talent by denying them opportunities reflects arbitrary decision-making. He argued that players develop through match experience rather than by serving drinks on the sidelines. Sooryavanshi has remained on the bench for the first three T20Is despite being named in the squad.
The teenager has played eight T20Is since his debut against England in July, scoring 246 runs at an average of 30.75 with two half-centuries. India leads the five-match series 2-1 heading into the fourth T20I in Hyderabad.
