Tilak Varma pushes for India Test spot after Duleep Trophy heroics

South Zone captain Tilak Varma said first-class cricket remains the true bedrock of his game after steering his side into the Duleep Trophy final. He scored 116 not out in the first innings and an unbeaten 51 in the second against North Zone. Varma will have to finish the final on September 10 before travelling to Delhi for Afghanistan T20Is starting September 13.
