Tilak Varma says he focuses on singles and doubles at number five or six

Tilak Varma said he concentrates on singles and doubles when batting at number five or six for India. The 23-year-old left-hander added that he goes for a boundary off the first ball only if it is there to be hit. He also said the team sees a clean sweep as a great opportunity ahead of the fourth T20I on October 30 at Eden Park in Auckland.

India leads the series 3-0 after Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi added 133 runs in 7.1 overs in the third match. Sharma scored 113 off 38 balls and Sooryavanshi made 45 off 19 balls. Varma said the squad has faced challenges adapting to time-zone differences after the West Indies series.

Matt Fisher has been named as Lockie Ferguson's replacement for the remainder of the series. Matt Henry is recovering from a quadricep injury and is expected to return for the ODI series. India is also considering giving game time to Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy in the fourth T20I.
