Tim Seifert signs one-year deal with Sydney Sixers for BBL 16

New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert has signed a one-year deal with Sydney Sixers for BBL 16. Seifert was named player of the tournament in The Hundred 2026 before agreeing terms with the Sixers.

The 31-year-old will provide batting depth and glovework for the Sydney franchise. Seifert's signing follows his strong performances in English domestic cricket this summer.

The Sixers finished outside the top four in BBL 15 and will look to Seifert's power-hitting to strengthen their middle order.
