Tom Banton named England opener for Sri Lanka ODI series

Tom Banton will open for England in the first ODI against Sri Lanka at Durham on Tuesday. The 27-year-old has played 28 consecutive white-ball matches since his return and scored an unbeaten 52 from 24 balls in the T20 series decider against Sri Lanka. Captain Harry Brook said Kevin Pietersen's mentoring has helped the side improve its approach against spin ahead of the 50-over World Cup.
