Ninety-five South African players and 61 overseas players will go under the hammer at the SA20 Season 5 player auction on October 7. The shortlist of 156 players was trimmed from 789 registrations. Durban's Super Giants and Paarl Royals have already completed their squads and will not participate.

Faf du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen, Wiaan Mulder and Nandre Burger are among the prominent South African names available. Overseas players on the list include Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Shimron Hetmyer, Shamar Joseph, Mohammad Nabi, Rehan Ahmed and Richard Gleeson. Two U23 spots are also expected to attract bids.

A maximum of $2.11 million will be spent across the four participating franchises. Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town each have six slots to fill.
