Gambhir to decide Sooryavanshi's Duleep Trophy final place

The BCCI has told senior players to feature in domestic cricket while Gautam Gambhir decides whether 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi plays in the Duleep Trophy final. Sooryavanshi scored 92 and 40 to help East Zone reach the final after a 13-year gap.

The board is monitoring his development after his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals and early India T20I appearances. Officials want to build a sustainable international career rather than rush him through every format.

His participation in the final depends on Gambhir's assessment of his workload and readiness for red-ball cricket at this stage.
