Vaibhav Sooryavanshi named on Time100 Next list

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been named on the Time100 Next list of 100 emerging talents expected to influence their fields. He is the youngest person on the list and one of seven athletes included.

Sooryavanshi was the youngest player signed at an IPL auction when Rajasthan Royals bought him at 13. He made his debut the following year and became the youngest player to score a century in men's T20 cricket.

Time CEO Jessica Sibley said this year's list-makers are pushing boundaries and creating new possibilities. British singer-songwriter Raye, also on the list, will perform at the Time100 Next event on October 29 in New York.
