Vaibhav Sooryavanshi not selected for India U-19 squad for Australia series

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has not been selected for India's U-19 squad for the upcoming series against Australia despite being eligible. Sooryavanshi has not featured for India U-19 since the final of the U-19 World Cup in February and was not part of its tour to Sri Lanka in June.

Former Australia captain Steve Waugh has backed Sooryavanshi to represent India in Test cricket. The 15-year-old continues to attract attention for his all-round abilities in domestic cricket.

Rahul Dravid has called for patience with Sooryavanshi's development. The teenager claimed two wickets in four balls for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarter-final earlier this month.
