Vaibhav Sooryavanshi posts 'still believing' after four T20I omissions

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shares cryptic message after four consecutive T20I omissions; Gambhir backs current openers over the teenager.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi posted a two-word message — 'still believing' — after sitting out India's first four T20Is against the West Indies. The 15-year-old hasn't featured in the series.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir defended keeping Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma at the top. He said players who performed at the World Cup stay ahead of younger options until spots open up.

Former assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was tempted to pick Sooryavanshi for the decider in Bengaluru, but he argued any change should come in the bowling attack, not the batting order.
