Teenage cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi urged airport photographers to prioritise safety over filming while in New Delhi.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi told airport photographers in New Delhi to prioritise safety over filming while he posed for pictures on Thursday. The 15-year-old arrived with India's Asian Games contingent for a felicitation ceremony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
Sooryavanshi's remark, "Reel ke chakkar mein thuk jaoge," went viral on social media. PM Modi praised young athletes who won medals at the 2026 Asian Games and highlighted the importance of identifying talent at an early age through Khelo India programmes.
Sooryavanshi has played eight T20Is for India, scoring 246 runs at a strike rate of 186.36 with two half-centuries. The teenager remains a contender for selection in the fifth T20I against West Indies in Bengaluru on Saturday.
