Vaibhav Sooryavanshi earns first India T20I call-up at 15

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been included in India's T20I squads for series against England and Ireland following his record-breaking IPL 2026 season.

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is in India's T20 squads for the upcoming series against England and Ireland. His Rajasthan Royals IPL performances got him there — chief selector Ajit Agarkar said he'd simply picked himself.

If Sooryavanshi plays, he'll break Sachin Tendulkar's record as India's youngest male international cricketer. Agarkar noted that recent form and performances at the highest level of franchise cricket drove the decision. The squad also features several other changes ahead of the tours.
