Vaibhav Sooryavanshi vs traditional pathways: India fast-tracks 15-year-old

India has selected 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for his first senior T20I tour following his IPL exploits.

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been included in India's T20I squads for the tours of Ireland and England after scoring 776 runs in the IPL with Rajasthan Royals. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar said the teenager picked himself on the back of his record-breaking performances. The call-up comes alongside the appointment of Shreyas Iyer as captain.
