Vihari urges India to recall Bhuvneshwar and Shami for ODI World Cup
Vihari says India need Bhuvneshwar and Shami back to reduce reliance on Bumrah and Hardik.
Hanuma Vihari wants Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami back in the ODI side. The former batter spoke after India failed to defend 351 against West Indies in the third ODI.
He argued the team can’t keep leaning on Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya for every breakthrough. Bhuvneshwar has already taken 45 wickets in 30 IPL matches for Royal Challengers Bengaluru across 2025 and 2026.
Expensive spells from the current backups have exposed the attack on flat pitches, and the 2027 World Cup is less than a year away.
