Vivek Razdan urges Smriti Mandhana to anchor innings ahead of Asia Cup final

India reached the final with a 40-run win over Bangladesh.

Former India seamer Vivek Razdan said vice-captain Smriti Mandhana must anchor the innings and play to her natural strengths rather than copying the high-risk approach of opening partner Shafali Verma in Sunday's Women's Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka.

India reached the final with a 40-run win over Bangladesh in Dubai, where Shafali Verma scored 64 and Deepti Sharma took 3 for 26. Harmanpreet Kaur's side will face Sri Lanka at the same venue.

The seven-time champions will again rely on Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma to deliver against a Sri Lanka side that reached the final after beating Pakistan.
