Warwickshire win County Championship title by innings and 79 runs

Warwickshire won their ninth County Championship title after beating Leicestershire by an innings and 79 runs at Edgbaston.

Ethan Bamber took 5 for 52 and Chris Woakes claimed 3 for 38 as Warwickshire dismissed Leicestershire for 168 in their second innings. Tom Scriven top-scored with 49 for the visitors.

The three-day win completed Warwickshire's first title since 2021 and their fourth in the 21st century. They finished five wins in six matches in the second half of the season.
