Wasim Jaffer questions Rinku Singh's omission from Afghanistan T20I series
Wasim Jaffer says selectors had no clear reason to drop Rinku Singh from India's Afghanistan T20I series squad.
Former India batter Wasim Jaffer criticised the selectors on Wednesday for leaving out Rinku Singh from the 15-man squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Jaffer said the 2026 T20 World Cup winner had been excluded without adequate reason.
The BCCI announced the squad on Tuesday, naming Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah among the returnees. Four players, including Bumrah, remain subject to fitness clearance from the Centre of Excellence.
All three matches will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi from 13 to 17 September.
