India chase 406 to win second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati
West Indies post 405 for seven in Guwahati.
West Indies scored 405 for seven in the second ODI against India at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Centuries from John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo powered the innings on a flat pitch.
Campbell made 101 off 68 balls, Hope scored 104 off 94 balls and Jangoo finished with 114 off 69 balls. The total surpassed their previous best of 389 against England in 2019. India's inexperienced pace attack struggled, with Auqib Nabi conceding 84 runs in 8.5 overs on debut.
Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets to reach 198 ODI scalps, two short of the 200-wicket club. The two teams will face each other in the third and final ODI of the series in Mullanpur on Saturday, October 3.
