West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein targets series push against India
Akeal Hosein eyes strong finish; West Indies seek first home-series win against India since 2019.
West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein said his team aims to push India hard in the remaining T20Is. Hosein, set to play his 100th T20I, backed his side to execute plans better than the opposition across the five-match series.
West Indies coach Daren Sammy said the series has already boosted confidence ahead of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers. Sammy highlighted the bowlers' execution beyond the powerplay and the need to contain Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma.
West Indies can become the first team to win a bilateral T20I series in India since Australia in February 2019 with victory in the final match.
