Sri Lanka fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has undergone surgery in France to repair his left hamstring. He's out for the West Indies tour, which Sri Lanka lost 2-1 after Shamar Joseph took five wickets in the series decider at Kingston.

Pathirana plays for KKR in the IPL 2026 season. How long his recovery takes will decide whether he's fit for Sri Lanka's next bilateral series.
