Shree Charani tops ICC Women's T20I bowling rankings for first time

India left-arm spinner Shree Charani has risen to number one in the ICC Women's T20I bowling rankings. She overtook England's Linsey Smith after taking 10 wickets in three Women's T20 World Cup matches at an economy rate of 7.32.

The achievement came during the ongoing tournament, where Charani earned a career-best rating. Updates to the rankings also showed Georgia Voll retaining the top spot among batters.

New Zealand Women chased 132 against Scotland Women on the same day, winning by six wickets with contributions from Izzy Sharp's 62 and Brooke Halliday's unbeaten 41.
