WPL 2027 auction scheduled for October 29 in Kochi; Brabourne Stadium confirmed as venue

The Women's Premier League 2027 auction will take place on October 29 in Kochi. The BCCI confirmed Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai as one of the venues for the season.

The second venue remains undecided between Vadodara's Kotambi Stadium and the new stadium in Varanasi. A BCCI operations team will assess the Varanasi venue for readiness. Brabourne Stadium will also host matches in the ICC Women's Champions Trophy 2027 scheduled for February 14 to 28.

The IPL Governing Council deferred its decision on the Impact Player rule until next month. Most franchises expressed reservations about continuing with the rule after submitting feedback to the board.
