Yash Thakur replaces injured Harshit Rana for Afghanistan T20Is

Harshit Rana won't play the Afghanistan T20Is or the Asian Games. He picked up a rectus femoris strain in a September 7 match simulation, and the BCCI have called up Yash Thakur in his place.

Jasprit Bumrah has been cleared to rejoin the squad after his own recovery. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar also got the all-clear.

Thakur, 27, represents Vidarbha in the domestic circuit and has played IPL matches for Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings. Once the Afghanistan series ends, the squad heads straight to Japan for the Asian Games.
