Zimbabwe to host ODI World Cup matches in 2027

Zimbabwe will host matches at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027. Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani described the hosting rights as a tremendous honour and a vote of confidence in the country's ability to stage global events. The tournament returns to Africa after 24 years.

South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will host the 50-over competition. The last time Africa hosted the World Cup was in 2003 when South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya were the venues. Full venue lists for the 2027 tournament have been confirmed by the ICC.

Bangladesh appointed Litton Das as their new ODI captain with the 2027 World Cup in sight. Das replaces the previous captain as the team prepares for the next global tournament cycle.
