Did Cricket Australia protect the wider team culture in 2018?
Khawaja's claim that the entire Australia squad knew about the 2018 sandpaper plot re-opens the question of collective accountability.
Usman Khawaja says sandpaper was used again in the second Test at Port Elizabeth. He also says Cricket Australia never interviewed him about the Cape Town incident.
Cricket Australia still believes only three players were involved. Former coach Darren Lehmann pushed back, denying Khawaja's claim that the whole squad knew what was happening.
Mohammed Shami has retired from Test cricket after 64 matches and 229 wickets. England seamer Josh Tongue is out of the Australia ODI series with a toe injury.
