England name 16-player ODI squad for tri-series in Pakistan

England have named a 16-player ODI squad for the tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi starting Tuesday. Harry Brook will captain the side with Adil Rashid and Sam Curran recalled after injury.

Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer miss the tournament. The series forms the start of a packed winter schedule that includes a white-ball tour of Australia, Test trips to South Africa and Bangladesh, and a pink-ball Test in Australia in March.

Younger spinners Will Jacks, James Coles and Mason Crane will have opportunities to press for Test selection. Crane returns to the England setup for the first time since 2018.
