India captain Shreyas Iyer picked up the team's Impact Player of the Series medal after the five-match T20I series against West Indies finished 2-2 following Saturday's washout in Bengaluru. He scored 181 runs across five innings at an average of 45.25 and a strike rate of 205.68.

His maiden T20I century in the opener at Lucknow made him the seventh Indian men's player with hundreds in all three formats. India won the first and third games, but West Indies levelled the series by taking the second and fourth.

India now head to New Zealand for five T20Is starting 22 October in Christchurch. Iyer has led the side in 21 T20Is since June, with 11 wins and eight losses.

CricHubb Take

Iyer's 181 runs and first T20I century are the clear highlights, but the real test for his captaincy starts in New Zealand, where he must turn a 52 percent win rate into results against a stronger attack.
