Ben Duckett's century could not prevent England from slumping to 241 against Pakistan after early wickets left them struggling in the powerplay.

Ben Duckett scored 104 as England were bowled out for 241 against Pakistan in the tri-series ODI at Lahore on Sunday. Duckett added 93 runs for the fourth wicket with Sam Curran, who made 42, after England lost three wickets in the powerplay and a fourth before the end of the 10th over.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi took four for 46, including the wickets of Tom Banton, Joe Root and Duckett. ODI debutant Razaullah claimed his first international wicket when he caught Will Jacks for 13. Gus Atkinson remained unbeaten on 36 after hitting three sixes in the lower order.

England need a win to keep their hopes of reaching next weekend's final alive. A third consecutive defeat would leave them with one match remaining and facing elimination from the tournament.

CricHubb Take

England's middle order remains brittle even when Duckett delivers, and with Brook's double century failing to produce a win in the previous match, the team faces a deeper selection problem ahead of the World Cup year.
