Mumbai Indians entered the WPL 2027 mini-auction with Rs 0.9 crore purse and six slots. Gujarat Giants had Rs 1.25 crore and three slots remaining.

Delhi Capitals released Taniya Bhatia, Lizelle Lee, Alana King and Sneh Rana before the auction. Delhi Capitals entered with Rs 1.1 crore purse and five slots.

The three franchises will compete for the remaining players listed in the auction. Mumbai Indians were the only team that could not sign any more overseas players because they already had six.

CricHubb Take

Mumbai Indians' inability to add overseas players forces them to focus entirely on domestic talent. This constraint may push them toward uncapped Indian all-rounders who can fill multiple roles within the salary cap.
