England to play white-ball series in Sri Lanka around Women’s Champions Trophy

England schedule T20Is before and ODIs after the Women’s Champions Trophy. Most senior players will be available for the February leg.

England will tour Sri Lanka for three T20Is in February and three ODIs in March 2027, either side of the inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy in India. The T20Is will be played at Pallekele and the ODIs at Dambulla.

Only two England players, Sophia Dunkley and Kira Chathli, are entering the WPL 2027 auction. Nat Sciver-Brunt, Lauren Bell and Sophie Ecclestone remain contracted to WPL franchises.

The Women’s Champions Trophy runs from February 14 to 28. England’s tour provides the only bilateral white-ball cricket between the two sides in the 2026-27 season.

CricHubb Take

Placing bilateral series around a new ICC tournament risks player fatigue but also gives England rare consecutive white-ball exposure against the same opponent.
