Nortje ruled out of Australia series decider with groin injury
Anrich Nortje will miss the third Test against Australia after suffering a groin injury during the second match in Gqeberha.
South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the third Test against Australia due to a mild groin injury. He suffered the injury while bowling in the second Test in Gqeberha and scans confirmed the issue.
Nortje had returned to Test cricket after more than three years out and played in the first two matches of the series. South Africa have named an unchanged 16-man squad for the decider at Newlands starting on Tuesday.
The series is level at 1-1. Nortje's spot in the XI is likely to be filled by one of Corbin Bosch, Gerald Coetzee or Dane Paterson.
