Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 63 runs to claim the bronze medal in the men's cricket tournament at the 2026 Asian Games on 3 October 2026. Tharindu Ratnayake scored 65 off 32 balls and took two wickets as Sri Lanka posted 165 for nine before bowling Bangladesh out for 102.

Ratnayake hit seven fours and five sixes in his counter-attacking innings after Sri Lanka slipped to 24 for four. Captain Sahan Arachchige made 33 off 37 balls to steady the innings. Nuwan Thushara dismissed Litton Das with the first ball of Bangladesh's chase.

Wanuja Sahan, Ratnayake, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Thushara took two wickets each as Bangladesh were bowled out in 17.3 overs at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin.
