All-rounder Cameron Green is available for selection in Australia's third Test against South Africa at Newlands, though he will not be able to bowl after recovering from an abdominal injury. The series decider begins on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Cape Town.

Green missed the first two Tests after sustaining the injury during the third ODI against South Africa on September 30. He batted in the nets on Saturday and said he feels functional only weeks after the strain. Green prefers batting at number four or five but will accept any position the team requires.

The 2025 World Test Championship finalists meet with both sides seeking a series victory. South Africa's Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada impressed Green, who described them as among the world's top bowlers.

CricHubb Take

Green's return at number four or five would alter Australia's top-order balance after Nic Maddinson struggled at the top in the first two Tests.
