PCB opens direct signings for PSL 12; auction set for January 23 2027
Franchises can sign one marquee player each until November 23 before the January auction; the tournament will run from March 18 to May 2 across five to six venues.
The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on October 23 that direct signings for PSL 12 are now open. Each of the eight franchises may sign one marquee player who did not feature in PSL 10 or PSL 11; the window closes on November 23.
The player auction will take place on January 23 2027. PSL 12 is scheduled from March 18 to May 2 across five to six venues, with the final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. A franchise workshop next week will finalise retention deadlines, the pre-auction trade window and playing conditions.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the season as the league's most ambitious yet. PSL chief executive Salman Naseer said the expansion to additional venues will bring the league closer to fans across Pakistan. The National T20 Gold and Silver tournaments will serve as talent-identification events ahead of the auction.
