Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat added 92 for the second wicket after Fakhar Zaman made 21. Sri Lanka had posted 182 for eight, Lahiru Udara making 91 off 55. Naseem Shah took three wickets for Pakistan, and debutant Mohammad Imran claimed two.

The remaining two matches will be played in Rawalpindi on Sunday and Tuesday.
