New Zealand Cricket pulled Devon Conway from the remaining two ODIs against India after he took a blow to the head in training on Tuesday. Nick Kelly got the call and will join the squad in Wellington on Friday.

Matt Henry, the bowler in the collision, cleared concussion protocols and stays available. The second ODI is set for Sky Stadium on November 7.

CricHubb Take

Kelly's sudden elevation means New Zealand must decide quickly whether he's a stop-gap or the long-term answer at the top — especially with India likely to test him early.
