Ireland leg-spinner Ben White announced his retirement from international cricket on 28 October 2026 at the age of 28. White took 41 international wickets across three formats after making his full international debut in 2021. He was selected in three T20 World Cup squads for 2021, 2024 and 2026, with his best T20 figures of 4 for 20 coming against Afghanistan in 2024. White took 17 wickets in the 2021 Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy at an average of 10 runs each and claimed 5 for 13 for Leinster Lightning against Munster Reds. He also took 5 for 34 for Phoenix against Merrion in the 2024 Irish Senior Cup final. His last international match came against Bangladesh in December 2025.

CricHubb Take

White's retirement at 28 removes a specialist leg-spinner from Ireland's limited resources at a time when the team is still building depth across formats. His domestic record suggests he remained effective at that level even as international opportunities became less frequent.
