Mumbai Indians have agreed a multi-year deal with Nike that makes the sportswear company the official kit partner for both the men's and women's teams from the 2027 season. The agreement was announced on Thursday.

Athletes and staff will begin wearing Nike gear this month, while the official team jerseys will be unveiled before the 2027 IPL and WPL seasons. Nike previously served as kit supplier to the Indian national team from 2006 to 2020.

Tilak Varma, who has a personal endorsement contract with Nike, welcomed the partnership. Devang Bhimjyani, head of Reliance Sports, said the collaboration aims to connect cricket and Mumbai's culture through apparel and storytelling.

The Nike deal moves Mumbai Indians from a single-team sponsor model to a dual-gender franchise identity. The partnership treats the WPL squad as equal to the men's side in commercial planning.
