Kohli's dismissal came on the second ball he faced after Gill fell for one in the opening over.

Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck in the third ODI against West Indies at Mullanpur on Saturday, his first such score in 2,481 days. Jayden Seales bowled a full inswinger that crashed into the stumps in the third over.

India had already lost Shubman Gill for one in the same over. The double blow left India at three for two inside the first two overs of their innings. Kohli's previous golden duck in ODIs also came against West Indies, in Visakhapatnam in 2019.

India have already secured the series after winning the first two ODIs. Kohli had scored an unbeaten 139 in the series opener at Thiruvananthapuram and remains one century away from equalling Sachin Tendulkar's record for most List A hundreds.

CricHubb Take

The golden duck interrupts Kohli's return to ODI cricket at a moment when his aggressive approach has drawn attention ahead of the 2027 World Cup cycle.
