Megan Schutt banned for two matches over medication breach
Schutt misses the final T20I against New Zealand and her WBBL season opener after an isolated medication breach.
Australia fast bowler Megan Schutt received a two-match suspension from Cricket Australia after failing to comply with prescription medication guidelines. The ban covers both international and domestic cricket.
Schutt will miss Thursday's third T20I against New Zealand at North Sydney Oval. She will also sit out the Adelaide Strikers' opening Weber WBBL 12 match against Melbourne Stars on October 31. Cricket Australia confirmed the breach occurred out of competition and was not performance-related.
The 33-year-old accepted the penalty and apologised for not meeting expected standards. She recently finished as Player of the Series against Bangladesh, taking 10 wickets at an average of 7.1. Cricket Australia said it will continue to support Schutt while reinforcing compliance requirements.

The suspension shows Cricket Australia's willingness to enforce procedural breaches even when performance enhancement is ruled out.
