Sourav Ganguly has been named Delhi Capitals head coach for IPL 2027, replacing Hemang Badani.
Delhi Capitals appointed Sourav Ganguly as head coach for the IPL 2027 season on Tuesday. He replaces Hemang Badani, who held the role for the previous two seasons.
Ganguly previously served as the franchise's Director of Cricket and as an advisor. He recently completed his first coaching assignment with Pretoria Capitals in the SA20.
Rishabh Pant is expected to rejoin Delhi Capitals from Lucknow Super Giants for the 2027 season. Ganguly said the appointment ends his time on the sidelines and returns him to direct involvement with the team.

Ganguly's return gives Delhi Capitals a coach with deep franchise knowledge at a time when they remain without an IPL title since 2008.
