BCCI secretary confirms India-Sri Lanka ODI stays in Delhi

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirms the first India-Sri Lanka ODI remains in Delhi on December 13.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia dismissed speculation that the first ODI against Sri Lanka had been shifted from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Saikia said Delhi had been allotted the December 13 fixture under the board's standard policy and there had been no change in the venue. He told PTI that reports suggesting the match may move were not accurate.

The speculation arose because of ongoing construction work at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Ahmedabad is already scheduled to host the series-deciding ODI on December 19. The full tour includes three ODIs and three T20Is across six venues.

The remaining ODIs are set for Bengaluru on December 16 and Ahmedabad on December 19. The T20Is begin on December 22 in Rajkot, followed by matches in Cuttack and Pune.
