Shafali Verma scored 55 off 25 balls as India defeated Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the second women's T20I at Raipur on Sunday. Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 47 as the hosts chased 103 in 8.5 overs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Niki Prasad took 2 for 7 as India restricted Zimbabwe to 102 for 8 after the visitors elected to bat. Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano top-scored with 34 while Josephine Nkomo remained not out on 27.
Shafali now leads the list for most fifty-plus scores in a calendar year with nine in 2026. The third and final match is scheduled for Tuesday.
