Srikkanth urges CSK to trade Hardik Pandya from MI
Srikkanth says CSK should trade for Hardik Pandya and release Shivam Dube to complete the deal.
Former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth wants Chennai Super Kings to chase Hardik Pandya in a straight swap for Shivam Dube before the IPL 2027 mini-auction.
Srikkanth believes Pandya’s all-round ability gives CSK a proven match-winner and fills the gap left by Dube, who could be released into the pool without any return. Both franchises finished outside the top half after poor 2026 campaigns.
He also pushed Chandrakant Pandit as MI’s next head coach, calling him a local boy who has played for Mumbai and would fit the setup. No trade talks have been confirmed.

If CSK follows through, they’ll be betting a large chunk of their 2027 purse on a player whose last three seasons have been interrupted by injury more often than not.
